CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

Anxiety is increasingly common in children, with over 7% of all children having been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.

Any form of anxiety and/or OCD can make daily life very stressful for children (and their parents), but when fears, phobias, rituals, or compulsions start to impact daily life and interfere with school and friendships, it’s appropriate to bring a child to treatment. Early treatment of anxiety and OCD has been proven to limit the long-term impact of these disorders. Early treatment can truly change the course of your child’s childhood, giving them the tools and strategies they need to successfully meet developmental milestones and succeed in school and relationships.

Ruth will teach your child how to be resilient and tolerate adversity, while offering specific tools and age-appropriate treatments that help children overcome their anxiety/OCD and get busy enjoying life. Additionally, parents are coached on how to respond to their child in ways that will ultimately free them from anxiety and/or OCD.

Ruth also treats children who struggle with anger, behavioral challenges, and emotion regulation issues. Children gain lifelong skills that they can apply whenever they need.
